Is America going to hell?
Not according to James Fallows. He thinks it's cyclical and it's an American thing to keep analysing and comparing ourselves with other countries. He says we've been doing it since the pilgrims landed. He has been living in China for two years and has now returned and when asked about China versus the United States, he made the point that most Chinese still do not have indoor plumbing, so even though it seems they are on our doorsteps and getting ready to take over, he doesn't think so.
