The Redhead to the rescue. Is it too late to save the company? To save the American economy? We sure could have used a 'Redhead' or a red Mustang. or automobiles of that ilk. When American auto companies were innovators and seemed to be excited with their product.
They seemed excited and in turn they excited the American public. Well they are so much on the defensive now, I don't know if that is possible.

Poster from art.com espouses an adage that I wish I had followed more in my life. There have been so many times I have spoken without thinking and/or said something so stupid and empty headed that I remember most of them to this day. I would hope that there is an unwritten statute of limitations on stupid talk, and people whom I have unwittingly hurt or disappointed with my mouth opening before my brain turned on have forgotten what I said.

Bad news on the publishing front today. American Heritage is suspending publication of their magazine. Good news is that their website will continue on. Here is a typical picture from their archives. It's the Chicago Fire.

Great old poster for a movie that scared the bejesus out of me when I was a squirt. Speaking of movies, I watched MILDRED PIERCE on TCM the other day. I had seen it before, but did not remember it exactly. Joan Crawford was actually a good person in this one, and the rotten one was her daughter played by, of all people, ANN BLYTH, and she did a great job. She was a true stinker.

While taking my usual morning browse, I happened upon this picture from a site called: ERLEND MORK. I'm reminded of the predictament I sometimes fall into when I try to read two, three, or even four books simutaneously. I'm not sure I do myself, or the books a favor when I attempt this. The situation occurs usually when I reserve books at my local, (very good) library, and they all become available at the same time. An overdose of the moveable feast I'd say. Oh well, I am slow to take a lesson from past experiences, as far as books go, and will put myself in that situation again I'm sure. The picture has a title, it's called: The weight of a thought.
