This strip reminds me of Bush #1 visiting a super market during one of his campaigns. He had never been there before and it showed how out of touch he was. At least the spinners made it turn out that way.

I listen to podcasts, so I search for new, different, and fun content.

I found a new one called: DINNER PARTY podcast at the ITUNES STORE. It's from some people in Southern California and it's designed to prep you for attending a dinner party. It tells you a joke you might tell later to your dinner mates, a little history lesson, a little about a mixed drink and whatever else they can stuff into about ten minutes. I spent an enjoyable (I was in the service at the time, so enjoy is a relative term) eighteen months in Japan. We weren't the ugly Americans, but then again I never knew about these customs or unwritten rules. Jeeze, I wonder how many of these don't-do's we did?

POLITICIANS, A word that strikes fear in the hearts of all Americans. I am fairly close to overload with their empty words, promising everyone everything and knowing there is not one ounce of sincerity coming out of those mouths.

This picture from SHORPY.COM was taken in 1943. She is boiling the diapers. The people writing in were aghast about the baby laying there with no restraints, and other baby dangers in the kitchen. It also goes on to say that the lady had eight kids, and later ran for state legislature from Montana.
