I was such a believer. I attribute that to being an only child without a sibling to belittle such beliefs. I also thought why not just err on the side of old Santa just in case. I don't remember anyone correcting my belief in Santa so it never became a thing with me. I have always retained those memories warmly. When I saw this a year or so ago I have to smile.
